Walking Snowdon to raise money for a Cheshire based charity!

Our Personalised Care Training Academy Lead Josh Matthews joined some of the fantastic team at Pathways Community Interest Company to climb Snowdon on Friday the 7th October 2022 to raise monies for CHANCE Changing Lives, an amazing local charity operating in Cheshire East.

The charity provides support to those people who are suffering deep poverty; people who are vulnerable and some of whom are homeless. The charity operates a Saturday kitchen which serves food and offers other essential activities. It also operates a social supermarket that supports in excess of 110 families a week with food and essential household items.

Josh alongside the Pathways CIC team tackled the Pyg Track, at 5.5km in length and involves around 800m of ascent.

It was always going to be tough climb and Josh and the team worked together to build their stamina in readiness for the day however 3/4 of the way to the summit the elements were against them with strong winds and heavy downpours meaning the group had to turn back, however it was still a fantastic success with the team raising just over £500 for a fantastic cause!
